Mobile Edge
Mobile Edge was created by a group of computer industry professionals and founded in 2002 by David Cartwright, President & CEO, and Steve Goodman, COO. Headquartered in Anaheim, California, the “mission” of this manufacturing company is to produce superior portable electronics carrying cases by providing style, innovation and function without sacrificing quality.
Originally specializing only in laptop computer related carrying cases, Mobile Edge has since expanded their product lines to include carrying cases for nearly all portable electronics. In July of 2009, Mobile Edge acquired the Sumo brand of carrying cases from HS International, LLC. Sumo is known for its stylish carrying cases that are geared towards Apple MacBooks and is the perfect complement to Mobile Edge. With the acquisition of Sumo, Mobile Edge was able to broaden their product range and also expand the laptop case category.
In addition to the large selection of products, Mobile Edge also offers separate product lines for men and women. Not only is the styling catered to men or women, but the design of the cases themselves are specific to either the male or female body. The human back, for example, is different between men and women so Mobile Edge designed their backpacks to be ergonomically correct for only one body type. Attention to these simple, but often overlooked, details has resulted in some of the best fitting products available.

The most ingenious is the ScanFast™ product line that allows simple passage through the TSA checkpoint at the airport. Designed using TSA guidelines, laptops do not need to be removed from these ScanFast™ cases to go through the x-ray scanner. This feature also blocks calls, but in a high-traffic location such as an airport getting a voicemail later may be better then the alternative.
